30 Days and change: Day 27
Day Twenty-Seven: Do you believe people are inherently “good”?
Word Count: 154
As much as I’d like to think that everyone is inherently “good,” we all know they aren’t. But the beauty and pain in that is also that “good” is subjective. What some deem as “good” could seem monstrous to someone else. When reflecting on the word “good,” I often wonder exactly what someone would envision as “good” and how that could possibly change depending upon the person’s sex, race, sexual orientation, and a host of other identities.
I do feel like everyone wants to do good, and whatever way they think they are doing that “good,” they’ll act on that. In a nutshell, people aren’t inherently good; some of these bitches have to really work at it. Some of these bitches need to go to school for it. Don’t get it twisted; I am those bitches too, because by no means am I perfect, Patrick. However, some have a much steeper hill to climb.
